SCC Meeting Notes

  1. Meeting Minutes – Approve to amend the Cell Tower Budget from last minutes.

2. Attendance Policy

  • Attendance policy. Attendance goal Approve by december. Looking at attendance in term one.   Goal to have less than 10 for the year. Reviewed facts for parents to know to encourage attendance, and what they can do.  Educate parents on types of absences.
  • Reviewed CSD flow chart for Chronic absenteeism.

 

3. School Accountability Report

  • Utah School Report card: RISE, Aspire, WIDA(ESL students), DLM test (severe cognitive disabilities) at least 85% of the students need to complete these tests.  And 165 days.
  • Increased in ELA 2.2%
  • Increased in Math 1.2%
  • Decreased in science 4.8%
  • Growth 64% Average
  • Math 73.9 High
  • Science 72.6 High
  • English Learners Adequate Progress 70%
  • English learners Adequat reading 40%
  • English learners have increased 5% making progress.
  • Reading on grade level down 8%
  • Students making typical or better progress up 1%
  • Parents can have access to this on the state website under ‘school report card’
  • Oakdale made #17 grade school in Utah!

4. Budget Review

Land trust: $51,601

TSSP: $76,530

Cell Tower – $54,807

 

Start thinking about what we are going to spend it on if we have money left over.

Looked at doing after school programs, or alternative ways to serve the high achieving.
