SCC Meeting Minutes

1. Meeting Minutes
Reviewed last month’s reading minutes.
2. School Safety Plan
  • Digital Citizenship

Plan for Digital Citizenship Week plans. How are we safe digital consumers and how do we keep our children safe. Teaching kids about their online footprint. Week of educating kids. Educate the parents about resources for them.

  • Safe School Walking Routes

Went over a new unification process.  Telford Church for walking and Brighton High for bussing.

Safe walking routes-  Call Cottonwood Heights if no one is at the crosswalk.

In the parking lot add a fence or hand rail to block off the median.

Continuing making parents drive all the way to the end to drop off children.

Parking lots- Do additional painting of lines to help traffic flow.

Closed Campus signs with timing and schedule.  Maybe a fence to allow a continued walkthrough?

Who maintains the catwalks? Needs to be done.

Kindergarten sidewalk needs to be widened, possibly take over the grass that is not utilized.

Can we put in lights and a crosswalk at 1228 and make that a permanent bus route?

Visconti and Telford 2 way stop to be a 4 way stop.

3. Bi-laws-Approval

  • Who wrote the bi-laws and what is the process of amending them if needed?
  • Reviewed bi-laws.
4. Budget
LAND TRUST – $63,339 – Paying for teacher aids?

TSSA – $92,499

Principal Discretionary – $5,000 for another day for teacher planning, additional interventionist, mini i-pads for ML students to translate
