Amber Shill speaks about what is new in Canyons School District 

New daycare at Brighton high school 

Vote to study school boundaries, closure, and reconfigure. May 6th 

Back to school night is the second Tuesday of the new year. Trying to dispel new information. 

Discussion on chromebook use and filters. 

● Parents can decide the level of restriction filtering for their own child. 

● Elementary students spend about 39 minutes a day on their chrome book. 

● Looking at monitoring options (landschool) and use of trigger words. 

● Explored the 3 different options to move forward with use of technology. 

● Vote on the 3 options: We are for higher restrictions, and unclear if we stay high restrictive or have an option for less-restrictive.
