We are excited for our favorite Reading Competition of the Year! March Madness Read-A-Thon papers will be coming home with your students this coming Thursday. The competition will run March 18th – March 31st. For every 25 minutes your child reads at home simply initial a basketball. When they reach certain milestones (250,500,750,1000) send the paper with your student to school so that they can collect their prizes. This year we are going to have a friendly competition between classes. The class in each grade with the most minutes read in this two week period will be getting either a pizza party or ice cream party (the winners will get to vote)
Remember any kind of reading counts…books, magazines, reading to younger siblings, parents/grandparent reading to child etc. Anything outside of school counts.
