Welcome to Oakdale

Fifth and Sixth Grade Science Fair

We had a successful science fair for fifth and sixth grade on Jan. 27th.  The Oakdale finalists will compete at Canyons District science fair at Jordan High School from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Feb. 14th. The public is welcome to come support them.  The finalists are listed below:

Fifth grade students:  Anna Workman, Katie Fitzgerald, Zusje Greef, Lanson Tuttle, Megan Jeffery, Hallie Kelsey
Sixth grade students:  Madelyn Clawson, Claudia Caten, Ashton Chamberlain, Jose Rodriguez, Emma Timmerman, Sophie Yates, Ren Witkamp, Nathanael Abbott, Olivia Finlayson

On a different note, Oakdale is proud to partner with the American Heart Association to help kids with special hearts.  Mark your calendars now.  Our upcoming Jump Rope for Heart event is taking place on Thursday, March 1, 2012.  You can help the American Heart Association by helping your child make a web page.  It’s safe, effective, and saves you time for raising life-saving donations online.  Visit www.heart.org/jump and click on ‘students Sign Up’ to get started today.  We will be handing out donation envelopes for people wishing to donate as has been done in the past.  Please make a note that 76% of all money raised goes directly to help children with heart conditions.Oakdale Families and Community Members,

We want to thank you all for your generosity as the Oakdale Peer Leadership Team and Oakdale students raised gifts and money for 10 Oakdale families. Through the giving of our students and families, we were able to provide Christmas presents, clothes, and food for each member of these families. In addition to the overwhelming response to the giving tree, Candy-gram sales raised $400.00 net profit. This money will be used to help Oakdale families in need later in the year. I especially want to thank the 5th and 6th grade students of the P.L.T. They have worked tirelessly to help make all this possible. We are overcome by your profound generosity and want to thank everyone who helped make it possible for these families to have worry-free holidays.
Thank you again, and have a marvelous Winter Break. We look forward to see you in January.

Thank You!!

Good news, we can now get paid for our Garbage!
Oakdale is now teamed up with Teracycle.  Simply bring in your Caprisun opouches or FritoLay chip bags and put them in the bins in the lunch cafeteria.  Oakdale will receive $0.02 for every item and instead of the landfill, the trash will be made into lots of different cool stuff!
